“Calma” new album by Budaya.

¡Hola! Nosotros somos Maya y Tulio, un dúo de música electrónica originario de León, Gto. México fundado en el 2014, que fusiona géneros como el synthpop, dream pop, trip hop y chillwave. Ambos músicos y diseñadores buscamos proyectar una estética visual y sonora concreta, la cual se refleja desde nuestro EP debut “Motionless” (2014), como de igual forma en la actual producción de nuestro primer álbum “Calma” (2018).

Durante este tiempo hemos tenido la oportunidad de tocar en muchas ciudades y festivales a lo largo y ancho de México, y de igual forma recientemente en Nueva york y Chicago en E.U.A.

¡Hi! We are Maya and Tulio, an electronic music duo from León, Gto. Mexico formed in 2014. we fuse genres like synthpop, dream pop, trip hop and chillwave. We are both musicians and designers looking to project a particular visual and sound aesthetic, which is shown in our debut EP "Motionless" (2014), likewise in the current production of our first album "Calma" (2018).

During this time we've had the chance to play in many cities and festivals throughout Mexico, and also recently in New York City and Chicago in the US.

Actualmente nos encontramos en la producción de lo más grande que hemos hecho hasta ahora, ¡nuestro primer material de larga duración! Titulado “Calma”, del cual hemos lanzado ya 4 sencillos con 3 vídeos, y han tenido muy buena aceptación por parte de las plataformas de streaming y de nuestros seguidores.

Gracias al público y diferentes promotores independientes en el país hemos podido pagar esta parte de la producción con las ganancias de nuestras presentaciones.

El resto de las canciones que formarán parte de este LP ya están grabadas, mas aun están en proceso de mezcla y masterización, por lo cual ahora nos enfrentamos a la parte monetaria. Creemos fielmente que el arte se enriquece de una o mas mentes, por eso hemos sumado fuerza en esta producción con diferentes artistas y productores nacionales e internacionales que han puesto su corazón en el proyecto, y parte de este fondo es para retribuir su trabajo.

The rest of the songs that will be part of this LP are already recorded, but still are in the process of mixing and mastering, which we still have to pay. We believe faithfully that art is enriched by one or more minds, this is why we've work along in this production with several national and international artist and producers who have put their heart in the project, and part of this fund is to reward their work.

Currently, we are working on our biggest challenge so far, Our first Long Play Material! Entitled "Calma", from which we’ve already released 4 singles and 3 videos, and have had an amazing acceptance by the streaming platforms and our followers.

Thanks to our audience and several independent music promoters in the country, we’ve been able to pay this part of the production with the profits of our shows.
