At the beginning of the second week of April, Danielle drove from Idaho to California. The main purpose of this two-day drive was interview for the Operations Manager position at the Santa Monica History Museum. As she has not been able to find a job in the Boise area that actually uses her master's degree, relocating is necessary.
While on this quick trip to California, Danielle found an apartment that is located close enough to most of the major museums in the area. However, funds and time are short, especially when (not if) the interview results in a job offer. Additionally, it is quite likely that the other 50+ positions she applied to in the past four months have ignored her qualifications based on the fact she's still residing in Idaho.
As many of you know, it's very difficult to relocate from one state to another, especially since many jobs will no longer offer assistance to do so. We are very excited for this opportunity for Danielle and eager to see her dream succeed. You too can be a part of this dream to help to move Danielle over 800 miles away to pursue a career in the museum field by supporting this relocation with a donation. Every donation brings us closer to our goal of $5000.
All donations will recieve a personal thank you letter. Donations of more than $100 will recieve baked goods of their choice.
And remember, as long as she's living in Southern California, you'll always have a place to stay!
