Calel’s Wacky Art Shirts for Autism Awareness

Our son Calel is diagnosed as being Autistic, we found out when he was 4 years old. Autism is a lifelong journey that needs constant management through Occupational Therapy, currently at 6 years old he also needs Speech Therapy, regular check ups with a Developmental Pediatrician and SPED (Special Education) classes which are very costly.

I work for a call center and the money I earn is just enough to sustain the family's basic needs. I have tried to run several side businesses but time has not allowed me to pursue it further (this includes online selling and being a Hair and Make up Artist).

My husband runs the household and he too tried to work part time at home, due to the demands of taking care of a son with autism and the needs of our daughter - he could not keep up with the work (we gave up on nannies a long time ago since they could not handle Calel).

We came up with the idea of starting up a t-shirt business for Calel to showcase his love for art. This was for 2 purposes - 1 so that it could help fund his therapy needs and 2 so that this may be his own business someday to help him with his everyday needs when he becomes an adult.

Calel's Wacky Art Shirts features his own drawings of things that he loves and these are rendered through paint for a higher resolution.

We would like to open this Fundraising to hopefully have his own machine, we have kicked off the Tshirt business but we are fully relying on a supplier. Having his own Heat Transfer equipment will allow us to work faster on orders and save on costing.

If anyone would like to donate equipment or supplies - that would be even better.
