Campaign Story
Faraz and myself are going to drive to the "jungle" on the 26th September in order to bring as much as we can manage to the people who find themselves destitute, from the worlds ongoing abuse, in Calais. We are going to fund as much as the trip as possible, including transport, the ferry trip and provisions. However, after deliberation we felt that us alone wouldn't even be a drip in the ocean in what we can provide. So, as so many people seem to be touched by what's going on, we ask and need your help.
ALL money kindly donated will go directly to those that find themselves in Calais in the form of provisions (food, clothes, blankets, first aid kits, cleaning materials, toys etc). That being said, if you would prefer to make physical donations, they would be even more greatly appreciated. We all suffer from an excess of "stuff". We only ask that you vet what you send to make it compact, relevant to the season, as light as possible and, if possible, bring it to us well before we set off.
Any excess we make will then go to provide further trips to Calais to provide provisions. So any money you donate, will go to those in Calais, not a penny to me and Faraz.
I know deep down that we all want to do something, despite what we see from our government, I know we are all ashamed by this, that we still have compassion and this is the way we can show it. We look forward to anything you can help us with, big or small.
Oh and please feel free to share this amongst people.
Also, if anyone happens to have a van, the better.....
Thank you very much for you time.
