“Cactoo and the Dragon” – free picture book for children

I am Elena Vassilieva Franklin - an author/ illustrator of children's books, writer, collage artist, and librarian.

Originally from Russia, I have been living in UK since 1996. I’ve started my art education in St. Petersburg, continued in Moscow, London, and Brighton where I’ve gained my Master’s Degree in Illustration at the University of Brighton. In 2007 and 2008 I've self-published my children’s picture book ”Cactoo and the Dragon,” spending £2000 and £5000 respectively.

This book is suitable for 4-6 year olds. The story is about the adventures of a small cactus in a big desert. Children will enjoy the exciting story and learn about the desert creatures. ”Cactoo and the Dragon” is illustrated in a collage technique using bright colours and texture. This book proved to be very popular with children and parents.

I still have a few thousand copies of the book from both editions, and it would be great for children all over the world to enjoy my book and learn from it

I've decided to donate the remaining copies of "Cactoo and the Dragon" to schools and libraries in the UK, Russia, Mexico, USA, and other countries. And I would like to raise funds to cover some publishing and postage/packing costs.
