#CAB HIVES JUNE 2ND 2019

REQUEST FOR ONLINE FUNDRAISE OF CAB HIVES. AMOUNT LOOKING FOR IS $25,681.5

Introduction:

I, Shali Kombo of Mlamba Sub-Location, Mwanda Location in Wundanyi Constituency, Taita Taveta County in Kenya, is seeking to be assisted in the purchase of 200 cab hives for a start-up bee keeping business. Each cab hive is $128.4

Planned month to start the beekeeping business: November 2019

I have the following:

a) an eighth acre of land that can hold 200 cab hives

b) enough wood for cab hive stands

c) wood chips and leaves for mulching

I have six friends who will provide the following items and labor where applicable BUTtheir contribution will depend on the number of cab hives I will manage to purchase and that is why I would like to fill the piece of land with cab hives in order to utilize their generous contribution:

a) Bee garden

b) Wires to surround the apiaries

c) Honey harvesting kits (bee veils, bee suits, gloves)

d) Wires to surround the apiaries

e) Smokers, hive tools and bee brushes

f) Buckets (for placing harvested honey combs)

g) Packaging containers

I will partner with Nyuki Hubs Kenya Ltd in Mwatate in Taita County for two years for ease of honey extraction using their electrical centrifugals and moisture measurement using their honey refractometers.

Two reasons why I would like to venture in bee keeping business:

a) I LOVE pure honey, thanks to the bees

b) There is still a very high demand of original honey in Taita Taveta County but very low supply

My Goals:

a) Donate 10% of raised funds end of each month beginning June 2019 to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mlamba

b) Generate employment and income to part-time workers

c) To always use my farm to practically educate current and aspiring bee keeping entrepreneurs about cab hives for free because the few that still harvest honey use traditional methods

d) Save 10% of the revenue received from honey each month and use that money each year to assist interested individuals purchase cab hives

e) Save 20% of income from honey each month in order to purchase electrical centrifugals and honey refractometers

f) Open Honey Company by beginning of January 2022

More Funds:

In case I receive more funds, which is my daily prayer, I will donate to Holy Rosary Primary School, a new school with pupils till class six and it is still under construction in order to have classes till class 8, assist in upgrading other older schools in the area such as Mlamba Primary and Moka Secondary, and help out even more aspiring bee keeping entrepreneurs purchase cab hives.

Thank you very much for your very generous contribution

May Christ bless you every second

Sincerely,

Shali Kombo.
