Buying Our First Home

Hello! This is the first time we've ever done this sort of thing, so I'm not entirely sure how formal/informal to be.

We are a young couple, my boyfriend and I, who are currently looking to buy our own home in Washington State. We've found the starter for us - a fixer upper mobile home for $5,500. The home itself is in the ideal location for us to take care of my mother without living with her (giving her and my stepdad their personal space while being close enough to help her with her errands and my little sister as my stepdad works full time). My mom suffers from fibromyalgia and last August was diagnosed with narcolepsy, so we try to keep her from getting behind the wheel. She is a wonderful woman who is just severely bullheaded. We need to be close to her to make sure we can get to her in an emergency or just make her life easier in general while also staying close to our places of work (he drives a route and I work in hospitality in town.)

We have already reached half our goal in buying the mobile, but unless we get a cosigner for a personal loan we fear we'll miss out on this opportunity. So we've decided to set a $5000 goal to give us a comfortable financial cushion to not only buy the home, but to make the proper repairs to it (carport repair, plumbing and floor maintenance, yard work, window replacement, etc.)

We would rather not enter into a personal loan from the bank as we would require a cosigner, so every donation helps.

****Any left over donations not used in the purchase of the mobile and home repairs will be given to Outdoors for our Heroes of Washington State, a non profit organization for wounded veterans. Proof of donations to this organization will be included in an update upon campaign success****
