Buying maize, beans and rice for poor families in my area

While organizing charity projects in university, one specific thing struck me, it takes very little effort and money to feed a poor family. You don't need a big budget to make a difference. A simple bag of maize, beans and rice can a feed a family of five for over 4 months. This will not only help them in the short-term but it will also give them enough time to channel the little money they get on other investments like starting a business or farming. Most poor families are barely surviving when a simple donation of basic and affordable food stuffs like maize can make a tremendous difference in their lives. My aim is not only to help but demonstrate how easy it is to eradicate hunger and hopefully more people will join me in this mission. If this campaign can kick off then I plan to come up with more long-term solutions like donating free fertilizers and seeds to farmers. My message is simple; it takes very little effort and finances to feed poor families. I will give regular updates on my progress (with photos and videos). I will also make a follow up on the families that have received donations and see how best we can improve the campaign.
