I'm a beginner in the sense of Tris and biking. From all the advice I have gotten on triathlon everyone is saying stick with a moderately cheap road bike that fits well for your first few tris and see where it goes from there.

Buying my first entry level triathlon bike really turn out to be daunting task. My long term goal is to do a Full Ironman in a few years but for now, i'm aiming to start with the half 70.3 event.

My dilemma is that I am looking at these the deals of buying a new road bike or used road bike are roughly on the same price. Owning a Tri TT bike would be a dream come true for all Tri-athletes, however, that is not what i'm aiming for at this early stage.

My current options is to purchase a road bike and try it in few races and turn it into a triathlon bike by stage by stage upgrade.

All in all, it involved dollar and cents of which is to get the most appropriate bike to suits the needs in Tri racing for few years down the road without breaking the bank.

If you're interested to be part of my tri support team, just a small donation from you will assist in getting me closer to the finisher line. I thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Harry
