Buying a home and building a campground, our dream.

The Background:

We have been dealt some very difficult hands over the last ten years of our relationship. Most recently, we are not able to live in our home that we own, and still pay the mortgage on. The house requires thousands of dollars in plumbing and well work to be able to return home. However, we have decided that we should just purchase another property that neesd considerable less work. 

The Property:

We found a property that has a mobile home that needs some work, but the land itself is amazing. 15 wooded acres in Oswego county NY, this is perfect for a campground site. There are no campgrounds in this town, and the town of Hannibal is small, and needs revitalizing. The town is located less than ten minutes from the Sterling Renaissance Festival.  

While the reason for wanting the property are selfish, (we are staying we family and it is not working out) we can bring not only tourism, but jobs to the community, as well as offering something unique to the area. 

What the Property Needs:

The mobile home needs quite a bit of work to make it liveable, but it is not anything we haven't done before. My boyfriend is super handy, and can easily, replace flooring, drywall, windows, that sort of thing, and for anything else we will bring in professionals.

Why We Need Help:

We are finally getting to where we need to be. We have struggle financially for so many years. With several bouts of unemployment, accompanied by several years of furthering our education, we have no reserves, and our credit is not quite where it needs to be to land a mortgage or loan to help us with these repairs. 

Also, our three dogs need a place that they can run and have the life that we have wanted for them. They are our life and we live with them on an enclosed porch with family, because we would not give them up for anything in the world. 

The owners of the property are willing to do a land contract with us, which isn't obviously the best solution, but we cannot live where we are living any longer. I put the goal because that is the cost of the property plus repairs, but in reality that amount can help us establish a campground that could be making us money as soon as next year. 

We have income and make quite a bit a year, but it is with a startup business that is just expanding. Helping us out would help our dreams to come true, and in return you will be helping a community that desperately needs it.
