After we had Lost everything in 2013 we had struggled very hard to get back on our feet again. Hubby found a job as courier driver but it was short lived when he was almost hijacked and attacked with knives by 2 men. They fled with his wallet which contained his driver's licence. So his boss fired him because he can't drive without one.
Hubby walked more than 20km per day to find work to take care of his family. He worked hard and late for R80 a day. So he decided to work for himself. He started painting houses. He did good so he have two guys an opportunity to also make a living. He wants to help more men to be able to provide for their families but because he doesn't have decent transport he cannot take on more work. He often have to decline opportunities because it is too far out and the workers would be able to reach with public transport. But if he have a bakkie he can take on more work, get more workers and transport his workers. Also he could get equipment because he would be able to transport it.
My husband is my inspiration. He has such a good heart. He always goes the extra mile for others. He always puts our needs ahead of his. He works so hard for his family and expect nothing in return. We stay in a small bachelors. He sleeps on the cold hard floor on pillows so that I and our little girl sleep on the bed. If he could get in more work than we could get a bunk bed so that he can sleep on a bed. His body aches everyday but he never complains and still work hard for us.
