Campaign Story
Want to help kids but don’t think your contribution will make much difference? You can help build a school in Africa! The cost of a coffee (only USD5) will buy a brick. You can donate more or less if you want. 10,000 bricks will build a school for 550 kids. Even if you can’t pay for a brick, just sharing this post with your colleagues, friends and family will help. For every 10 shares you do, we'll get another brick. You can share via Facebook and other social media, email or word of mouth.

32 donors picked at random will get to name a classroom (conditions apply). Please note that donations are not tax deductible. There are no administration costs, completely run by volunteers.
Our aim is to share with 100,000 like-minded people world-wide by ‘paying forward’ or ‘I will take the support I have had and try to pay it forward whenever I can’.

Update - 3 Water tank tower

We have sent the school a total of USD915 for the materials and part of the construction costs which has depleted funds available. We still need USD145 to pay the balance for tower construction and USD140 to build a concrete slab before the tank

Update posted by John Gumbo at 03:20 amThank you to all those who have donated so far. We still have a long way to go so please share the campaign as much as you can. The water stand construction is proceeding well. Soon water will be available when town water isn't.

Update posted by John Gumbo at 11:30 pmBefore our fundraiser even formally started we had USD3,300 donated to purchase a 10,000l water tank and to install it at the school. As I write this a platform is being built for the tank. It needs to be 6 meters high to prevent elephants smelling the water and helping
