Lovely Button was handed over to us a couple of months ago, with her sisters, Popcorn and Fiona.

She seemed in fairly good health, though a little sneezy.

She then started to get excessive porphyrin from her right eye.

Firstly she had eye drops, which unfortunately didn't work, and then she was put onto antibiotics and anti-inflammatorys Which she has been on for a couple of weeks.

Her eye has cleared, though has now unfortunately started to swell, with a very hard lump just underneath. So after a visit to the vets today we have decided that she needs to have a thorough check and possibly an x ray while she is under. We are hoping it is not an infection in the bone...

I have booked her in for tomorrow, though we are struggling with funds at the moment. Her vet bill for the problem so far is close to £95, and tomorrow is expected to be a similar amount. So it would be a great help if we could raise around £190.

We really appreciate any donations. Though she is under the weather, Button is a strong girl, who will still race her sisters to the treats.

Yesterday the vets put Button under a GA and had a good look at her eye. Surprisingly they came back with the fact that it is actually an abcess, which we were all surprised about, as it is very solid. Button has already been on antibiotics for almost a month, but they have been making no improvement.
The vet had a go at draining it, but due to its location and how solid it is she was unable to get barely anything out. Due to its location she also cant have it removed and the vet said that it is very walled in, so trying to interfere with it would cause a lot of damage to her face :(
She is going to be kept on antibiotics and I will be washing and putting a compress on the site regularly. But sadly not much can be done for the little girl :'(
I will be making sure she is comfortable, and as long as she is here and happy with her friends she will be getting plenty of extra treats <3

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has donated to her vets bills, it's a great help to us when an animal needs regular check ups and medication.
