Dear Friends and Family,
As you may know, I've had a dream of starting up my own specialty pet store selling saltwater fish, corals, and associated equipment and dry goods. As it stands, I've had the space for the store leased and I was ready to begin preparing the store when I ran into issues with the leased location.
Without getting too in-depth about what happened, I could no longer pursue my business venture at that time, just a couple of months ago in September. Now, in October, I find myself nearly in the right position to be able to chase my dreams once again. However, I find myself just a bit shorthanded in the funds department.
I'm turning to my friends and family in this time of need to help me pull together the funds to make this happen. I have little to offer in return aside from my gratitude, but for those that make a donation of $25 or more, I'll offer you a permanent 10% discount on all items in the store (including equipment) when it opens.

Update posted by ortizaquatics at 03:46 pmOn December 4th, we made the decision to put the deposit on a 9,000 sq. ft. facility at 1502 2nd Street in Pen Argyl, PA. This facility has beautiful hardwood floors throughout, an office, a receiving area, and their its own full-size restrooms (yes, there are two). We are excited. . . . .

They are excited to hear about our plan to offer live foods (such as brine shrimp and rotifers) and manufactured LED lighting in our store when we open. So excited, in fact,. . . . .

Update posted by ortizaquatics at 11:35 pmCurrently, I have a location that I've been in talks with the property owner about in Stroudsburg, PA. The owner is willing to give us 2 months free rent for posting our deposit ($1375) and doing any upgrades to the space (remove carpets, install new flooring, paint walls, etc.) we. . . . .
