Bus Conversion Project (DIY Videos)

Who We Are:

We are a group of high schoolers that is seeking adventure and wanting to share our journey with others.

Our goal:

Our goal is to repurpose a school bus, making it the ultimate vehicle for adventuring with friends. We want to share our process as we solve problems and inspire others to seek adventure. We will be posting videos to a YouTube channel, documenting the processes of fundraising, planning, building, certifying, and traveling for people who may possess the desire to do this themselves.

Our Plan:

Right now, we are in the process of fundraising to purchase the bus. The bus that we are going to purchase runs anywhere in the price range of $3,000 to $8,000. After that, the money will go towards furnishing the inside of the bus, stripping out the existing interior and adding in bathroom, kitchen, sleeping, and living areas. The bus then will be ready for painting and additional improvements to the existing tech, among which will include a backup camera and hopefully things like DIY lane assist features and digital gauges. Then, we will document our process of getting the finished product certified or traveling on the road. Finally, we will then be ready to travel and experience new things in the finished bus.
