Campaign Story
When people live in areas of high unemployment they often find that success in the Matriculation certification is insufficient to be competitive in the job market. They need additional Business and Computer studies certification. An average of 70 a year graduate in the Jeffrey's Bay area from Learning Academy. These find jobs or gain promotion to lift them out of poverty. Unfortunately many more are excluded from these opportunities because they lack the fund to pay for the fees - these fees are low compared to other colleges.
Three immediate needs
1 Funding to pay for Study Material and Tutorials
2 Mentoring and counselling to help achieve new goals.
3 Job seekers workshops - including resume writing, work placement, on line and off line job finding and agency support.
It is hard to describe in words how heart wrenching it is to see these people struggling to feed themselves and their families; too proud to beg on the streets.
If you would like to help these desperate unemployed you are welcome to contact Bill Frampton the approved appointed coordinator of this initiative at [email protected]. On contact you will be given details of how to contribute. May God bless each one of you.
