The COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak is an emerging global health crisis. Our Hometown, Padre Burgos Southern Leyte, is not an exemption as our Local Government declares a preemptive lockdown within the entire municipality. A very good decision to contain and control any possible spread of the novel corona virus. As an aftermath of the protocol, our fellow Burgosanons was restricted of so many usual daily routines. Businesses are interrupted, no enough opened stores for the basic needs, and delivery of basic commodities are more often obstructed by other neighboring cities and municipalities' own preemptive lockdown. As a result, our fellow Burgosanons might be facing difficult times, especially in terms of food and medicine, in the next days within this preemptive lockdown and the most affected ones are our less fortunate fellows as well as children and elders from needy families. We can also support those in the frontlines during this period.
In view of this, we are knocking the heart of all BURGOSANON-OFW to lend us a hand in helping our fellows in need this time.
“WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET, BUT WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE.” – Winston Churchill
*Burgosanon Fights Covid19 (BFC) has launched a fundraising campaign to support the affected Burgosanons and frontline health workers responding to the outbreak.
