Bumps in the road

Four days before Thanksgiving I was told I would be getting laid off by the middle to end of December because the business I work for would be closing. No one wants to hear those words and not a single mother with an 8 yr old son and a FT college student who was already stretching money tight before so I could still pay the bills while furthering my education. Now this is going to set us back even more and right around the holidays. While I realize that in the grand scheme of things my life couldd be much much worse. I just want to keep the christmas spirit alive for my little boy while he still believes and be able to provide for him the way any mom should. Anything to help keep a roof over our head and food in his belly is one step in the right direction. I pursue the employment hunt everyday, as many say when one door closes another opens...just hope that it opens soon!
