Our family in Zimbabwe, Bulawayo was met by a very tragic incident in 2012. Family consists of mother/mother in law, grandmother to our children, sister in law and her 3 children

Due to power cuts in a residential area called Kingsdale, the family was forced to use candles. Using candles resulted in a candle catching fire to something in one of the rooms. Exploding windows is what got the peoples attention and by that time, the fire was out of control as the roof blasted up and outwards. I can just imagine the panic in gathering the children and making sure everyone was safe. What a hero our mother Joyce was. Nobody was injured and we thank the almighty God for this.

Living conditions have not been so comfortable the past 4years. I am sure you (the reader) knows about the situation in Zimbabwe, where not many things function within the country as they used to back in the day and that's a shame.

The house has 10 rooms, of which 7 are totally damaged, basically to the ground. Our family live in the 2 rooms that didn't get damaged. Bathroom and kitchen renovations have been taking place but at a very slow pace due to lack of funds leading to a lack of inspiration and willpower.

The family house is built on a good piece of land with a borehole and a reasonable supply of water. Organic farming is a plan for the near future once we can get some order in and around living conditions. It's not good for anyones health to live in such conditions, as very serious illnesses can arise from breathing such air for a longer period of time. And there again, hospitals don't function as they are supposed to.

In our family, we teach our kids that we are each other. BY that, I mean that I am you and you are me. We are each other and together are we stronger. As the saying goes, "unity is strength"

We keep our fingers crossed and hope that someone out there could share a little of what they have in order for us to help mama rebuild her house so that her grandkids, friends and family can visit her. She is 64 years old and we know Zimbabwe. No functioning pension system. It's all a disaster.

The money will be used for the purchasing of roofing timber, tiles, bricks, cement, window frames, doorframes, paint and windowglass. We have manpower in the family so we will be able to keep labour costs abit low.

ONE DIVINE LOVE my fellow earthlings.

Thank you for your time.
