Building School Libraries and Reading Corners Project!

Children's Better Life Program Inc. (CBLPInc)is a charitable institution based in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines helping indigent children not just in the city but in the neighboring towns. Our non-profit organization was founded September 2015, its quite new so we are still in the process of looking for regular benefactors to help and work with us so we can serve more children.

We aim not to just help poor children in the city but we would like to be recognized as a charity helping all children in the Philippines.

We mostly help street children and indigent school children. We usually conduct feeding programs, school supply distribution and conduct activities for the kids to help them in any way we can. We are aiming to build both School libraries and Reading corners for these children.

Public libraries are intended to be used by both out of school children and school children who would like to access any books they need. We believe we should give equal opportunity to them and teach them all how to read or write. Based from my experience a lot of street children/youth couldn't even read the alphabet.

We already built one library for a High school in Mabini Pangasinan, supplied books to a Reading Corner in Alaminos City and and would like to help more schools there as well as in Angeles City Pampanga. We partnered with a publishing company who will donate books for our project, but we are gathering Story Books as well for primary schools. Right now we need to gather funding for library rooms construction, funds to purchase bookshelves and additional story books, tables, chairs and other furniture needed to start a library.
