Building an Education place for the Orphans and the Poor in a village – Batam,Indonesia

Hi, My name is Eksan. By chance, I started embarking on this journey with my mum after the passing of my dad back in 2014. Being the eldest son in the family, I know its not easy for the orphanage who had to go through such situation at a very tender age.

The first project, we had successfully helped build an orphan home in Batam,Indonesia which now consist of about 50 children.

The current project that we are working on will also be build in Batam,Indonesia located at Sungei Buluh. We started the journey back in August 2016. Here we are building an education centre for the villagers' kids which are either the poor and/or orphans. We have about 97 children in this village.

We are building a single storey school which will consist of 4 classes. We hope to help the kids, whom parents are either fisherman/farmers, learn some form of education to help change their lives.

We have successfully build the foundation of the building over the past few months. Current status, we are working on the pillars before moving on to build the roof. Thereafter, we will move on and build the wall / flooring etc.

Lastly we hope to finish the work by Sept 2017. We will then organized a get together for the villagers together with anyone who wishes to pay a visit at the completed site.
