Dear friends,

I am Muhumuza Jackson and I am the servant leader of BACO Foundation Uganda. At BACO Foundation, we seek to help empower children and women in rural areas of Kikuube, Hoima and Kagadi districts by providing Relief food to families with no food, Response to Disasters, Nutrition and Education.

As you may have recently seen the work we have been doing of building new homes to families who got their houses burnt in fire, Muhawe and the family will have a new home soon, thank you for rendering us with your hand.

While we have made some great strides, BACO Foundation still has a lot to accomplish.

As we have been helping people in Kamwokya village in Kyangwali I have an idea which would be a long lasting effects in solving problems faced by Kamwokya village where two families have lost their houses into fire.

As I was making my survey most of the population in the village are single mothers who lost their lovely husbands and others were left by their husbands because of failing responsibilities.

Can you imagine, most of these mothers are parents who produced at early age of 15-17 years of old.

Mahoro a beneficiary under BACO Foundation has 12 children at the age of 35yrs, Lusia has 9 children at the age of 31yrs of old.

Look at that stituation where these women have to raise these children without any income generating activities they do.

These are the mothers who didn't go to school due to lack of school fees.

Supporting these families in a time if need is good and creditable and counts very much, however I have thought of an idea which can at least employ 100 women in this area.

I have thought of asking your kind support again to buy 20 sewing machines for clothes and Sandals as away of creating a sustainable self-sufficient program to these women which can eradicate poverty scale and enable these mothers have enough food and send their children to school without any barriers.

Tailoring work will give them life saving moment in their life and income to come out from poverty.Among these women ,half of them are given Tailoring skills.Buying a Sewing machine is out of their reach. These sewing machines will help 20 single mothers in Kyangwali sub-county in Kamwokya village.

Challenge

Sewing machines can give income to come out of poverty. They are very poor to buy a embroidery Sewing machine which is costing high for them.

Solution

Providing Sewing machine to these women, they can do tailoring work and stitch blouse, Petticoat, Trousers and shirts at their homes. With this income, they can come out of poverty and can able to send their children to school.

Long-Term Impact

BACO Foundation aims to improve economic status of women and their families through business skills and eucation. The secret of training is to empower, restore and regenerate women and improve their status.

Would you consider donating any amount to help us achieve our mission?

If you have any questions, I would be happy to provide you with more information about how you can help support our work at BACO Foundation.

We greatly appreciate your donation, and it will be used to buy sewing machines and other materials which will generate steady income to these women.
