Building a school in Kenya

Hi - In October 2016, myself and other students from UTC Swindon are going to be travelling to Kenya, East Africa for 10 days to help build a school. We shall be working with children and teachers based in a school for orphans and destitute children.

We are doing this alongside the Younite Outreach Project (http://www.yoproject.org.uk/) and will be staying in Nakuru Town; helping with the local school's building project, as well as spending some time with the school kids.

UTC Swindon is a 14-19 academy with specialisms in Engineering with Business and Entrepreneurship, based in Swindon. I have spent 2 years there already and in September will be starting a BTEC Level 3 in Engineering, as well as A' Levels.

This trip will give me a unique opportunity to gain a wider knowledge of some engineering skills, apply some of the business knowledge developed and, most importantly, help a community and it's children get a better future.
