Support a community of 1410 population with just 0.5% formal working class build it’s Community’s, Dream Hall.

This fundraising aims to assist in building a community hall for Saint Arnold Janssen Village in Mactan Lapulapu, Cebu City, Philippines. For the last 17years, the community had managed to host all of its community gatherings and events out in the broad daylight using the basketball court as seen in the picture. Many times they got disturbed by the rain.

Saint Arnold Janssen village is a community created by JPIC- IDC, a non-profit organization based in Cebu. JPIC - IDC (http://jpic-idc.org.ph/) sole purpose is to help the underprivileged. The village allocates people mostly coming from below average, dumpsites and informal sectors background around Cebu city. Less than 1% of the people living in this community are working a formal job.

There are many problems faced in the village like unwanted pregnancies, kids dropping out in the early stage of schooling, family problems and others. The only way to address these problems is for the community to organize small workshops and seminars to educate its people. Currently, there is no venue to plan for seminars and workshops.

With the assistance of your donation in building this hall, it will serve as the learning center for educational purposes as well as a hosting venue for other events like a family day in the community. It will have a significant impact on the community's future. There will be more seminars, workshops and counselling to educate the youths, parents and also kids through utilizing the venue the hall provides.

All the money collected will be used to build the hall.

I am a volunteer working with the JPIC -IDC. I am volunteering to do this because I see there's a bigger need for a hosting venue in Saint Arnold Janssen Village for community use.
