Building a full-size covered court and stage

Warm greetings from the Philippines.

We are a non-stock, non-profit school operating in the Philippines. Our school, Joy In Learning School Inc., aims to provide quality education within the midst and means of our community. Most of our students belong to the lower middle class to the lower class families who chose to enroll in private education. Because of this, the tuition fees that we set are only enough to cover for the salaries of teachers leaving not enough budget for the expansion and improvement of our facilities.

Our present covered half-court can no longer accommodate our students during their assembly and other programs of the school. This greatly affected the school activities for our PE classes and school programs.

Thus- the need to construct a new one and with this is also the need to purchase an additional lot for the covered court. Fortunately, the lot adjacent to the school (at the back) has been made available for the school for lease.

We are now in the initial stage of the construction and simultaneously a fund-raising activity is going on with the help of our parents and the students to help finance the construction which costs more than $50,000.

We therefore appeal to your kindness and generosity to please help us with whatever amount you can spare for this much-needed project. Maybe your friends there may also want to be a part of this project for the sake of the students who are mostly from families belonging to the low economic classes. We thank you in advance for whatever amount you can donate to us. Rest assured that your kindness and generosity will not only benefit our students but also the less fortunate members of our community who can also enjoy the use of the covered court.
