I'm Ken Delmoro, an upcoming senior high school student and aspiring software/game developer from the Philippines.
As my school requirements become more technology-dependent (research papers, Photoshop editing, music videos and the like), it's been harder for me to cope up with my studies, and the need for a reliable system increases over time. I keep missing late-announced take-home assignments, for example, and these take up a huge percentage on my grades. I don't have a phone, and we do have a family laptop, but it's over 6 years old now (the technology inside is way older), and it doesn't have a battery. It would be unconventional to waste paid applications on it, and I'm not even fundraising for them.
I don't know if everyone can relate or visualize, but it's already gotten me to a point of emotional breakdown. Believe me.
I added the option for me to buy parts for a custom-made PC, because I still have to decide whether I'd prioritize portability rather than performance, and whether I'd use it for games (I have to be honest here, but please don't take this negatively). Whatever choices I make, however, money would be a huge problem.
I've decided to start a personal fundraiser because I can't afford buying a decent (and long-lasting) system to use for school and other purposes. It will also be an entertainment hub for the family, and especially for my parents who work their heads off everyday for me and my little brothers. Any contribution will be a huge help for me to go through my school life. Please help me achieve my goal!
