Campaign Story
For the World Architecture Day 2018 celebration, Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC) and co-organiser , INTODESIGN Lab are organising the Cardboard City Challenge for the second time with more participants and exciting programmes, which includes the launching of this Cardboard Pavilion Competition. What is more exciting than exploring architectural ideas, geometries , forms , systems and experience constructability with cardboard?
Architecture plays an important role in inspiring everybody, especially the younger generation. Thus, we aim to reach out for creative designs from the public through this interactive family event. The competition is to design a Cardboard Pavilion to house creative learning activities for children and inspire them through architectural spatial experience.
In 2017, 12 primary schools with a total of 240 children participated in the ‘Cardboard City Challenge’ installation. A further 120 students from local colleges and universities volunteered for the event. It was a collective effort of 360 students working together to design an ‘Imaginary Future City’ from cardboard and tapes with an approximate 400 m2 footprint. The event was a success with 1800 people from the public turning up during the last two days of ‘Cardboard City Play Day’.
After the exhibition, the pavilion will be donated to a local school in Kuching, Malaysia. This cardboard pavilion will definitely enhance the learning process of the school children. Most importantly school children can explore more about recyclable materials and to raise awareness of global warming.

Dear all, This old woman 75 years old .she very alon this work .this old woman have son and daughter.all married ready .all son and daughter very busy her own family.can’t see and take care her mother.this old woman life very saddening .now she some people house day labour Woking like this .today this house .tomorrow other house Woking .now is problem her eyes.day after day her eyes viewpoint very very problem coming.can’t see properly any thing .every time water come out her eyes .now can’t working also .doctor say need to operation .than after can see properly.this old woman can’t arrange this operation money .her food money also no have her site how can he arrange this money .she belive god help him .help this world all Merciful people.so please .if we are help together this old woman.she can return her eyes again and can see this beautiful world again. My name is Mohammad Masud Alom, I live in Bangladesh, I am 24 years old, I am married, my wife’s name is Kobita Khatun, She is 21 years of age,we are married to both of us, we are married for more than a year, two months ago suddenly my wife got hurt I used to be more painful when I came to come, I see the doctor, I have been taking medicine for a few days, so I have been taking medication for a month, but after that one more problem Which is the problem, the problem is that my wife’s ankle touches the palms of the feet and the palms of the feet are very strong, I can not sleep at night, I have to cool down on ice for many nights, my wife is having trouble in the night, I have seen 4 to 5 doctors.
