Build apartment block for the young people

This cause may not sound like something that needs funding for but with your generous support we can help this beautiful village not die in its traditional agriculture businesses and for it to not become just another overpopulated village for ONLY expats, tourists and retirees.

In the beautiful west coast of Greece, there is a village (Palairos) where more and more people are building only for tourism, expats or retirees and because of this the young people and young families of the village have moved out to different villages although their jobs are located in this village. And so more and more young people are not keen on staying to take on the jobs of their fathers or mothers in agriculture, which is a shame as sooner or later the agriculture will either become mechanized or die completely.

So I believe in order to support the young people and young families continuing in the agriculture and local businesses, to build a modern apartment block in the regions for them to feel comfortable and capable in continuing their family businesses and/or build new businesses and for this town not to become solely for tourists and retirees.

I am not Greek but having visited this region many times, I passionately believe that this will help young people to take on the jobs of their fathers/mothers. And having spoken to many young people that still try to live in this region have confirmed that this would help them be more motivated to continue living here and keep the traditional agriculture alive.

Once the funds are enough I will arrange with the local municipality from your generous donations for them to find land and for them to build the apartment block for the people. Once in place we will share the photos of the progress and outcome. Fingers crossed we can achieve this for the people.
