بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
“The Mosques of Allaah shall be maintained only by those who believe in Allaah and the Last Day; perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakaat and fear none but Allaah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance” [at-Tawbah 9:18].
Who are we and what do we do?
The Ahl-us-Sunnah Society of South Africa; a community based religious organization that has been serving the Muslim community through various Islamic projects and services requires your assistance within the scope of your ability. Alhamdulillaah, since being registered in 2006 we've conducted classes focusing on the subjects of Tawhid (Islamic Monotheism), Aqeedah (Islamic Creed), Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Hadith, Arabic and Qur’aan. We also provide services such as marriage and family counseling in light of the Qur’aan and prophetic Sunnah. During the afternoon we run a madrassa for the children, free of charge.
In addition to the this, we have a continuous effort in establishing Da’wah to the True Religion of Allaah by having public lectures and two annual conferences to ensure that we foster the environment where authentic knowledge is sought, and that those who travel to our center is accommodated for over these periods. All of the above mentioned as well as the full time Imaamah & Da’wah course from 8:30am until 2pm from Mondays to Fridays, are currently taking place on an (80) eighty square meter Musallaah which has evidently became too small to maintain all the activities listed.
Why do we reach out to you and how can you help?
Alhamdulillaah (All Praise and Thanks is for Allaah), an opportunity has risen for The Ahl-us-Sunnah Society of South Africa to make an offer to purchase for an incomplete church structure - and our aim is the obvious - to turn it into a Masjid where Allaah The Most High is worshipped, In Shaa Allaah! This is an opportunity for you to share in the 'Ajr (Reward). Keep in mind that the potential property has a surface area which is +6 times bigger than our current space, which means we can accommodate more people and scale our Da'wah initiatives and programs to accommodate for more people Bi'ithnillaah.
The deposit for the intended property is R500, 000 of which The Lajnah (The Committee) of The Ahl-us-Sunnah Society of South Africa has already acquired R450, 000 by The Grace of The Almighty. We have a shortfall of R50, 000 ($3800) in order to reach our target. With your assistance we would be able to secure the land and initiate our Change Management Program by ensuring that the new structure is open and ready for Musallees to perform Salaah and be of service to the community. Our objective is to have the prior mentioned activities transitioned to the new address smoothly and have all facilities fully operational In Shaa Allaah.
It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah Radhiallaahu'anhu that Allaah's Messenger (Salallaahu'alayhi Wasallaam) said: "Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allaah, like a sparrow's nest for Allaah or even smaller, Allaah will build for him a house in Paradise." Sunan Ibn Majah 738. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani.
Our biggest challenge to accumulate these funds is that we only have three weeks to come up with R50, 000 ($3800) as the funds should be available by the 9th of June, 2017. Therefore, we ask on the community and people like yourself to generously contribute anything that is within your means to Aid the Deen of Allaah and our campaign to propagate Islaam.
