Campaign Story
Build A Community Resource Centre is an initiative started to raise funds to build and equip community resource centres in the remote parts of Kenya where government services do not reach yet they are urgently needed.
This initiative has the following goals:
1.To combat poverty by cushioning the most vulnerable groups consisting of children,women,the youth and the elderly from harsh economic trends.This is enabled by giving information and services which are geared towards community health and development.
2.To provide a centre for teaching,learning recreation where the community members can organize and be taught on emerging and cross cutting issues socially, economically, politically and environmentally.This is geared towards empowering the communities by capacity building.
3.To provide a cultural centre which fosters unity among the community members and hence community wide change efforts can be planned,organized,monitored and evaluated.
