Eight High School and middle school students from St. Louis will be leaving for Kenya from July 30th to August 17th, 2018. Students chose this project as part of 2018-2019 youth leadership class to give back to the community and expand their global knowledge. Some of the students are currently at Washington University Young Scientist Program that ends on July 27th, 2018.
The group will be visiting remote parts of Kilgoris, Kenya and parts of Rift Valley that were affected by 2007 Election violence.
The goal of this mission is to build a classroom, donate school supplies, shoes, medical supplies and sanitary pads. The trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those going on the mission trip. Everything that will be used on the trip must be taken with the group. This includes all of the school supplies, Shoes, funds for construction materials, back packs and medical supplies. Donations of school back parks, books, soccer balls and jerseys, shoes, etc. are being sought. Every penny collected will be used to directly benefit the children of Kenya.
The airfare per student is $1,600 plus accommodation and local transportation. The group is seeking for your prayers and financial support for this mission trip.
