Selamat Hari Raya!! 🥳 We are pleased to announce that we have raised our initial goal of RM8000. Our drum teacher, Jasmi Budin is now able to settle his outstanding rent and utilities just in time for Hari Raya!

Shifting our focus from survival to sustainability, we would like aid Jasmi’s business in the long run by purchasing equipment for him to better run online classes. Currently, he is only able to use WhatsApp/Skype video calls on his handphone for online lessons. Thus, we are extending our existing goal by an additional RM3200 to enable him to purchase the equipment listed below:

Laptop (Dell Latitude E5440) = RM1,750
Zoom Q2n Handy Video Recorder = RM950
Wi-Fi (x3 Months) = R375

Zoom Q2n accessories
- Zoom Mic Stand Adapter = RM30
- Mic Stand = RM80
- RCA Audio Cable (for Audio Playback) = RM15

Lee Jia Wen, also known as Boba, is a music educator, performer, and electronic music producer from Penang, Malaysia. His wide array of interests have led him to work with a multitude of projects, including producing live sound effects for a Silent Film Festival, drumming for experimental rock band COMA, and working in a live electronic performance duo bye, son. He currently leads the modern jazz quartet Without Shoe based in Berklee College of Music, and frequently collaborates with others as music producer, songwriter or arranger. In his spare time, he cooks up little inventions in Ableton Live in hopes that one day they will take a life of its own.


Gabriel de Leon is a drummer, producer and arranger from Penang, Malaysia. Growing up in a musical household, he is recognized as a regular performer around Penang Island, along with his father, Ronald, and brother, Vince. Gabriel has had a diverse amount of experience in music, from conducting orchestras to acting in musical theater. Gabriel now studies Contemporary Writing & Production and Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music with a scholarship, and aspires to be a music producer and a commercial writer, as well as continuing to perform on the drum kit.


Sean Choon is a Malaysian songwriter and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Glasgow, Scotland. Having started drum lessons when he was 7 years old, Sean has gone on to play both on stage and in studio for various acts in Malaysia and the UK. However, he is best known as the singer and songwriter for Volatile, an award-winning band with which he has released two albums and performed across South East Asia. Sean is currently working on a third album together with Volatile, and is also developing new material for his own ambitious solo project. He continues to perform frequently, and remains committed towards making some “delightfully frightening faces'' whenever he plays the drums on stage.
