As my MYP Personal Project I decided I want to build a gaming PC on a budget. I want to build a prototype of the PC components I've decided are the best for the price range. This prototype will be used to determine how many people are interested in such computers. If the project proves to be successful, I would love to build PCs by order. I find the actual building of your own setup to be much, much better than a prebuilt setup.
There are many PC gaming myths that I want to prove are not true, the main one being the price. Many portray PC gaming as expensive and I want to show that massive amounts of money are not necessary for good performance.
As I already mentioned, the PC is a part of the Personal Project. This means that everyone has to do an original project during one school year. The funding of this project will help me massively and I am extremely grateful for every single donation.
400$ is the price of the newest and the best console with additions so that will be the price of the PC as well. The money will be used to purchase the needed parts for building. If anyone is interested in the main parts I decided to use I will list them below:
PSU - EVGA 430w
CPU - Intel Pentium G4560
GPU - GeForce GTX 1050
Motherboard - MSI H110M PRO-D
RAM - 8GB HyperX Fury DDR4
Above are just the main and the most expensive parts of the build.
I believe this project can help those who do not have a large amount of money to spend on such a computer. It can give one the best gaming experience for a low price. It can give one the gaming experience fairly similar to high end PCs, for a third of the price.
As the prices of are slightly higher in EU than in the US for example, the project might exceed the limit. However, I will try my best to keep it inside the price range and I believe I can do so.
If the goal is reached, I would be extremely grateful to everyone who contributed towards it as I am not able to fully afford it myself. So thank you very, very much in advance! :)
