Campaign Story
My sweet pug Brutus got deathly ill with pancreatitis in June. He was in the animal hospital for one week and I didn't think I would bring him home. He had a feeding tube because he lost 5 pounds and wouldn't eat. He gradually got a little better and he came home with medication crushed and given in the feeding tube 12 times a day. He was getting a formula and pureed canned food through the feeding tube several times a day. It was very slow because his liver and gallbladder were not working well. Finally in Sept. he started getting better and wanted to eat. I was increasing the prescription food when he pulled out his feeding tube. Since then he is eating several small meals,a day and has gained weight and is doing really well. I have pet insurance that I thought would cover most costs but they covered only $1000 and I have a bill of almost $5000. at the vet. Because I have volunteered for pug rescue for 10 years and been a client for a long time at the clinic they allowed me to carry a bill. Any donations would be a blessing since I have only a pension as my income.
