Campaign Story
11 year old Sana and 2 year old Reham, are brothers who have been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a deficiency of platelets and red and white blood cells caused by bone marrow failure. For the past seven years Sana has been receiving both red and white blood cell transfusions at least twice a month. Sana is suffering from bleeding gums as well as pain and bruises that come from minimal contact to his skin. He must travel hours by bus to reach the hospital with his mother, while leaving behind his small siblings. Sana needs a bone marrow transplant to hopefully treat the disease or if not treat it, at least to manage the disease long term. The bone marrow transplant would, therefore, save Sana from having to go through blood transfusions every couple of weeks. Reham is only 2 and has also been diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. Due to lack of funds, he will have to forgo a transplant at this time. I am hoping that the money raised will at least help pay six months of treatment for him. These brothers deserve to live a normal, worry and pain free life that is full of mischief and joy. I hope we can all band together and give the brothers a chance at life. The bone marrow transplant costs around $15,000 and I hope that we can raise the money to save Sana’s life. Please open your hearts for these children and if you cannot make a monetary donation, please take a moment to pray for them. Thank You
