Medical Assistance for Broken Hearted

Please help Amparo "Ampy" Maminta, 66 yo. She is residing in Brgy Tejeros Makati.

She was not able to bear the emotions and sadness of sudden loss of her greatest love (husband), Alfredo Maminta, 72, last November 18, 2021.

She experienced severe backpain and difficulty of breathing while at wake last November 22, 2021. She was rushed to 5 different clinics / mini hospitals but unfortunately was not accommodated as it was past 5pm - clinics are already closed, until finally headed to Makati Medical Center (MMC), as this is the closest big hospital from their residence.

Soon after, she was diagnosed of currently having a heart attack and that an immediate angiogram and angioplasty to be performed. We quickly discussed with the doctors our other options (transferring to other hospitals given that we know the procedure is very costly, moreso in a private hospital). However due to the criticality and the urgency (doctors advised the angiogram and angioplasty to be done 20mins from heart attack identification), the best option was to have her operation at MMC. After the angiogram, she had cardiac arrest and was only brought back to life after 5 minutes.

Her Cardio Surgeon shared that in the length of his career, this is the second "Broken Hearted" case he handled. Yes -- broken heart is real.

As of now, she is better but is still in MMC. We cannot take her home as we need to settle the hospital bill along with professional fees of the doctors (one doctor had a professional fee of 200K).

We are appealing to your generous hearts. The money that she will be getting will be used to settle hospital bill, and should there be in excess of that, will be used to buy maintenance medicines. There is no concept of big or small amount. Any amount will go a long way. God bless you all and thank you in advance for your help.

PS. Prayers are also welcome. Mama is recommended to have her 2 major valves also undergo angiogram.
