First of all, before getting into the details, we want to thank you for taking your time out of your busy day to review our campaign. Any support is greatly appreciated, even moral support.
Our names are HIsham and Bassel, both 26 years old, born and raised in a Christian household in Lebanon “The country of broken dreams”. We created this campaign to raise funds to help us set up a new life in a country that honors its citizens’ dignity and freedom, which has been stripped away from us the second we were born in Lebanon.
The funds that we hope to raise from this campaign will contribute to help us settle down for the first few months in Toronto, Canada (Our target destination) until we find a part-time job that will support us financially so that we can pursue our professional goals of learning Music Production at a local institution.
It is worth noting that both of us have substantial student loans that we borrowed in pursuit of a university degree that ended up being useless after we graduated, since the country has an unemployment rate of about 60% among youths and is currently in a great financial crisis which fired up one of the biggest revolutions this country has ever witnessed. At first we were hopeful that this revolution will help rejuvenate the country, but unfortunately we learned the hard way when were protesting in the streets, that this country will never be fixed as long as it is ruled by political parties, most notably Hezbollah whose members attacked the protestors and burned down the tents in downtown Beirut last week, burning with it the last spark of hope we had.
Thank you for your support, and we hope we can repay you someday.
