Broadclyst to Ethopia Link

To start the new year three teachers have set themselves a big challenge and will be travelling to our partner school in Ethiopia. This year Charlotte Clark, Laura Fox and Rachel Smith will be going to Bekumsa Biya School over the Easter holidays where they will be teaching classes, passing on their knowledge, sharing ideas and working with children across the school throughout their time there. They are also hoping to provide examples of technology and new resources that will enrich their school.

Whilst they are over there the three teachers will also be visiting another school in Nekemte, meet the teachers and establish a new partnership for the Westclyst School. By linking with a new school in Nekemte the teachers will be able to plan new exciting projects that will be shared both here and in Ethiopia.

We are asking for your support this year in order for the teachers to raise the funds to travel and spend a week at the school working with the teachers and be able to provide resources for the children at Bekumsa Biya School.

The teachers will be holding a series of fundraising events which will be shared on the BCPS website, via letters and our Facebook page. Thank you for your support with these fundraising activities, which will develop the partnership with the school in Ethiopia.
