Persons with disabilities include those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.

Over 650 million persons around the world live with disabilities. Add to that their extended families, and a staggering two billion people daily live with disabilities. In every region in the world, in every country in the world, persons with disabilities often live on the margins of society, deprived of some of life’s fundamental experiences. They have little hope of going to school, getting a job, having their own home, creating a family and raising their children, enjoying a social life or voting. For the vast majority of the world’s persons with disabilities, shops, public facilities and transport, and even information are largely out of reach.

Persons with disabilities make up the world’s largest and most disadvantaged minority. The life of people with disabilities can be very frustrating as the world around them becomes very stiff and very little. Their physical disability proves to be a major drawback which comes in their way of communicating with the outside world. They cannot travel to far off locations to attend family events and occasions with their near and dear ones. Their plight can be very disheartening to watch. But their agony can be reduced to a certain extent with the help of technology.

People with disabilities can escape the plight of isolation to a certain extent with the help of Virtual Reality. The purpose of this project is to take our own part in ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities.

One of the largest stadiums in the world, 71,137 seats can accommodate only 165 seats for disabled people with carriages.

Arena Allianz is located in the north of Munich. The capacity of the stadium is 71,137 seats, including 2,152 business seats, 1,374 seats in VIP lounges and 165 seats for disabled people with wheelchairs. Considering that about 10% of people in the world are disabled, out of 71,137 places, 7,113 places were to be reserved for this category of people, not 165. The same situation is in all other stadiums in the world. Nobody thought about people with disabilities sufficiently. It turns out that they do not have the physical ability to both participate in the game and watch it at the stadium.

Today, there is a technology that allows any person to fully feel the atmosphere of what is happening, without being physically there.

This is VR technology. Thanks to the broadcast VR video with 360 degrees and good sound, the person is fully present in the place where he is physically absent. He can see and hear all that see and hear those people who are there. Moreover, they can at any time turn their heads to the left or to the right and see what is happening around. The sound also changes as the viewer watches.

With the help of VR technology, people with disabilities will be able to be full-fledged viewers of the current events. People with disabilities will not need to make any effort to transport themselves physically to any place. Especially if such places simply do not exist or very few of them.

We turned to the President of the Ukrainian Premier League. We proposed to create an online broadcast on VR 360 technology for people with disabilities. We offered to make it completely free for people with disabilities in order to remove all obstacles to becoming a full-fledged spectator. For all other viewers, the broadcast will be paid. This will allow to provide VR 360 broadcasts both for the free category of viewers and for the paid.

And we received a positive response. We can broadcast for the disabled completely free. We will be able to help people with disabilities to become full-fledged spectators and participants of football games in Ukraine. Our next strategic step is to extend our activities to Europe, America and Asia. To enable people with disabilities from around the world to become part of football games, absolutely free. This can be done after we gain experience in our native territory, and cope with all the technical difficulties that await us.

In order to do this, we need help in purchasing equipment for broadcasts. These are cameras that allow you to shoot video at 360 degrees, and produce broadcast.

At the moment, these cameras cost 5,599 Euros per camera. In order to broadcast one match, you need at least 8 such cameras, or better 12 for full coverage. The viewer will switch between cameras, depending on where in the field the game is going. Insta360's new CrystalView player works by converting your footage into a specially segmented sphere. When a viewer plays it back in this format, their device will render exactly the area of the scene they’re looking at — in full 8K quality — adapting in real time as they look around.

Insta360 Pro should solve many pain points faced by professionals — especially on the mobility side, which will hopefully lead to more interesting VR content in the very near future. If you want to shoot the best quality virtual reality video or pictures, then Insta360's new Pro 2 could be just the thing.
