US$0.00raised of $14,000.00 goal goal
No more donations are being accepted at this time. Please contact the campaign owner if you would like to discuss further funding opportunities
Anyone who lives in a city or in most suburbs already has access to high speed voice/data/ streaming video for all gadgets, either desktops, laptops, smartphones or tablets.
Many rural areas, however, don't have this access, making them fall behind on everything that technology can offer.
New studies and data show that digital literacy training, in safe environments, like libraries, can greatly expand user adoption rates in rural areas.
At the same time, old infrastructure assets, like old cable, or old copper cable, or no cable, and no wireless, make for a real challenge for these areas. The newest technology is already cloud-based and relies on super fast transmission that old infrastructure can never handle.
That's why we started this project in the beautiful Waterloo* area of New York. This area is rural and also very challenging due to the terrain. It's close enough, however, to where we can link up with the most modern New York infrastructure and, then bring the fastest in high speed to this area.
To do this, we need your help. We need to pay the technology planners and implementers to provide a plan to us, so that we can achieve the funding for this project.
We hope that you will help us to reach this admirable goal.
Thank you,
Tony Ramos, Project leader
*Waterloo is listed as a 'village' in New York and therefore, does not appear on the 'City' list below. Sorry for any confusion.
