Brittany’s Healthy Recovery

Brittany was recently in a horrifice accident and has sustained very serious injuries. On December 16th, 2013 the 1995 Ford Probe Sport Coupe, driven by the father of her 2 little girls, slide off the road near Manchester, MA. Brittany was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled mutliple times then crushed when it came to rest on top of her fragile body. She was transported to Beverly Hospital then Life Flighted to Massachusetts General Hospital as a result of the seriousness of her injuries. Since being there she has had multiple surgeries to include a reconstructive surgery on her pelvis that was crushed by the weight of the car. When first arriving at Mass General she had a breathing tube and was in a coma but has since had the breathing tube removed and has woken up.

Brittany has a long road ahead of rehabilitaion ahead of her. Because of the injuries to her pelvic region and the extensive surgery, Brittany will have to relearn to walk, run and drive a car.  They rehabilitaion will start as soon as the doctors feel she is able to get up and move around with out injuring her stomach more. Nurses have also informed me that Brittany will need more rehabiltation once she is released and it may be a good idea to have a nurse come to her home to help her learn to live on her own again.

This isnt going to be easy physically, mentally or finicially for Brittany but we can lessen the burden... One donation at a time!!
