I was hiking the long distance Lycian Way in Turkey. In a town called Faralya a stray dog started following us. I later named him Lycian.

In Kabak we became seperated as it followed the other members of the group whom went home.

I carried on solo and thought about the dog. He made me cry as his attachment style and soul frequency reminds me of myself. Two days later I woke up in the middle of the night and found the dog sleeping next to my tent ❤️

We got seperated three more times but fate always brought us back together. The last time we got seperated he found me when I passed him on a motorcycle. The dog saw me and chased after me as if his life depends on it and was able to keep up with the speed. He wouldn't give up and it broke my heart as other dogs attacked him whilst he was too busy chasing me.

We slowed down for him but in the end I came off the motorcycle, chased the other dogs off and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere with no buses or taxi at night time as I refused to carry on the motorcycle because I didn't wanted to stress, abondon or put him at risk.

Ever since he has been with me and follows me everywhere. At night he guards my tent.

We hiked 40 miles together and are planning to hike more. He enjoys the mountains. We have been together for over two weeks now and I witnessed with my own eyes the traumatic life this dog lives. Constantly getting seperated or abondoned by people he attaches himself to, other dogs attacking and threatening him, lack of food and drink as well as people threatening him and throwing stones at him. He used to be skinny. I now feed him well.

It is my wish to take him to the UK with me. I believe we were destined to meet. I am not a big dog person but fallen in love with this dog. I have my own traumatic mental health story with many psychiatric admissions in the past hence hiking in the wilderness to save myself. I feel this dog and me can heal each other as he is quite scarred himself (I can feel it).

He is a proper wild outdoor dog which suits me just fine as I am a proper wild outdoor girl myself and we both love hiking. It does not matter if I sleep in my tent, a hotel, a villa, in a town, on a beach or in the wilderness he will be waiting for me and always follows me. I didn't have a lead but little miracles follow our story.

For example in our current destination I just followed random roads to get to the sea and ended up walking past the local animal charity KAPSA. In that same moment a staff member left the building and recognized me through a social media post about us and gifted us a well needed collar and lead.

Any money I raise and do not use will go to local animal charities such as KAPSA to help other Turkish stray dogs and cats. Many of them really do have a tough, heart breaking, sad life and there are too many of them suffering.

The money is for getting Lycian home to England with me. It will be used for vet costs, getting his health checks, vaccinations, micro chipping, passport and all requirements to enter the UK, three months foster care before he is allowed to travel and his tansport costs from Turkey to the UK. I might also need help in how to train him to become a domesticated dog.

I am a professional Angel Tarot Card Reader. Every donation, even if it is £1 will receive a card or a full Reading (see the Rewards section for details).

I want to write a book about our adventures and our finding each other. If anyone knows of a good book agent or has a contact in a publishing house that would also really help me as well as guidance about how to train a stray outdoor dog into a domesticated animal.

I created a Facebook page where I will share about our journey and adventures. Please feel free to follow:

Let's get Lycian home so that he can learn what it is like to have a proper home.

Thank you for reading 💕💕🙏🙏
