Bringing Living Water to Dry Places – by Taf Taf

Fountain of Life's work of bringing safe water to those in need continues to grow and the team are just about keeping up with the demand. In collaboration with Hope 2 Others International the well-drilling team have now completed 9 wells and are busy making preparations for the next 10.

One challenge that we have faced is the issue of transportation. Transporting six meter lengths of pipe around Ziguinchor is not always easy. To hire a donkey and cart doesn't cost much but is slow and not great for long distances. To hire a vehicle is quicker and can take you further but costs much more.

Our plan is to raise the funds to buy the team a 'Taf Taf'. A Taf Taf is half motorbike & half pick-up. It is the perfect vehicle for the well-drilling team. It can go faster and further than a donkey and is much cheaper than a car/truck. Running costs are low and it can get to places that donkeys and cars cannot. Having their own vehicle will also save the team a lot of time and energy that is spent on organising transport and the best part is that a brand new Taf Taf only costs £1,750!!!

We will be traveling to Ziguinchor in January 2019 to meet with the team and it would be fantastic if we are able to buy a Taf Taf while we are there. It would make such a huge difference to the team.
