12 students from the University of East London are hoping to run an amazing project in Langa, Cape Town, South Africa as part of the University of East London's Going Global initiative. We will run a hockey camp for the community, where we are looking to impart the skills and knowledge so that the people of Langa can continue to develop and build their community through sport. We will ideally have five days of coaching sessions and educational talks, with a mini tournament held at the end of the 5 days to help engage the whole community through the Langa hockey club. A link will be formed with the local schools and longer term sports programs will be created for each. The more talented players in the camp will be trained as team leaders to ensure that they can continue the work after we have gone, using the guides we have set for them. We also intend to provide the community with donated kit and equipment that we have sourced/
