Greetings fellow earthlings.

We are a young and newly founded fruit manufacturing company based in the Philippines. Our products consist of various tropical frozen fruit purees and IQF.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help us get funds in order to trade fairly with the indigenous tribes of Luzon & Mindanao area. We are working hard with the PREDA foundation lead by father Shay: 3 time Nobel Peace Prize nominee in order to develop these communities bring them the basic necessities by fair trade.

Problem:

  • The indigenous tribes called the "Aetas" are native to the Philippines. As local societies continue their development, the Aetas have receded back into the remote mountain areas cut off from any facilities and infrastructure. Living conditions are far below standard.
  • Their only income is the harvest of wild fruit such as mangoes, avocados, papaya, jackfruit etc. Since they have little bargaining power and compete with local farms, buyers buy their harvest at below market price, barely enough to feed the whole tribe.
  • No funds are allocated towards the building of new infrastructure.

Solution:

  • You can be part of the solution by donating any amount into this campaign. We are ready to tackle this problem together with the PREDA foundation in any case, however your help will greatly assist us in their fair trade.
  • We will offer above market price for their harvest in order to bring all the Aetas together to sell to us instead of the local buyer. With our money they will finally be able to afford basic necessities such as: water tank, pipes, brick houses, tools and more importantly, sending the young ones to get an education.

On behalf of Solfruits, Preda and the Aetas, we thank you for even reading this far. We know that not everyone has the means to donate so a simple like for our facebook page would be very much appreciated and would help spread the word about these social issues.
