Women and children are exposed to detrimental health issues from using harmful fuel sources. By reducing the reliance on firewood, they will be able to lead a less arduous lifestyle. They will be able to spend less time collecting and carrying firewood. Women will be able to save money and time to pursue opportunities of their choice. Girls will have time to go to school and participate in the community. Women and girls no longer put themselves at daily risk of rape and abuse.
We have hereby, launched a project which will secure global environment benefits and improved livelihood through community-based initiatives and actions that address biodiversity conservation and sustainable land management in production landscapes in Kenya by pursuing initiatives that promote conservation of sustainability of communities livelihoods.
