Hi my name is kayleigh, as most of you will already know, and I am asking for your help.
On the 4th of July 2012 my life changed - I moved into a all-girls hostel. I was unable to take my best friend with me, my dog Angel, and it broke my heart. I asked some friends if they would be able to look after her until I could arrange something more permenant. I had a few friends help me out by taking Angel in and making her feel welcome. Unfortantely, over the last few months Angel has been staying at a local dog shelter. I would like to bring Angel home because I miss her, and she misses me. I visit her all the time, and I stay in contact with the shelter, making sure that Angel is happy and secure. My friends miss Angel too. Angel is like an extension of me - we have grown over the last several years together. It has been such a diffcult time for both myself and Angel, and I don't want to leave Angel in the shelter - I want to bring my best friend home!
I am currently waiting to move into my own flat which means I can have Angel back with me, but the shelter isn't free and I need to pay for Angel's stay at the shelter. That is why I am asking for your help and support. I need to be able to raise at least £250, which will be achieved through sponsored fundraising events and donations.

Elf on the run
I will be dressing up as an elf and jogging around Bedford park. I ask to be sponsored for each succesfully completed lap (amount of monies is up to you). Lets hope it's not too cold!

Time: 11am
Location: Bedford park
Gender swap
Me and my friend (male) will be swapping genders for the night. I will go as a man and he will go as a lady. We will be undertaking tasks set by you, pretty much anything. For each person that sets a task I ask for your sponsorship (amount of monies is up to you). Please be kind when setting tasks!
Date: 12th February 2012
Time: 8pm onwards
Location: Esquires (alternative music venue), Bromham Road, Bedford
More sponsored fundraising events to be arranged - I welcome any ideas or participation.
And lastly, aside from the sponsored fundraising events, which I look forward to completing, I ask kindly for any donations people would like to make toward bringing Angel home!

Well done Kayleigh. I really hope you get all the support and help you need with such a special cause. I know that once Angel is back home with you, you will both be so happy. p.s. the task I set you is to drink a little beer through your nose using a straw!
