Campaign Story
A close relative of mine is in dire need of a service dog and funds for her physical and mental health issues that her insurance unfortunately doesn't cover. To protect her privacy, I won't divulge the details of her illnesses, but suffice it to say that she is at a serious crisis point in her life, like all too many young people these days. "Atticus," a Newfoundland puppy in training, is a gentle giant who would love nothing more than to be reunited with this girl (he lived with her for a few months before she unfortunately had to let him go because she couldn't afford the training costs). Being that Atticus went off to a non profit organization that seeks to unite children in need with service dogs, the new owner has generously agreed to return Atticus to her given that she is now on the waiting list for a service dog with this organization. Unfortunately the cost of the training alone is $25,000. There are other fees associated with bringing Atticus home, especially since he requires biological alerts which require specific labs and more, in addition to the multitude of testing and therapies being requested by her medical team. Please help bring Atticus home. Please help this kind young woman have a chance at a healthy and happy life. These funds will literally be life-changing for her.
