HELP BRING PRANBURI’S DOGS HOME BY SUPPORTING CONSTRUCTION OF A DIG-PROOF ENCLOSURE
Nun Nid is a Nun in Pranburi, Thailand who has been caring for many dogs and cats at a local temple for several years. Two weeks ago, officials came and removed 60 dogs claiming that they had rabies when in fact most of the dogs in her care, had already been vaccinated against rabies by a local animal welfare group. Nevertheless, the dogs were sent to a quarantine facility in Buriram, which is 10 hours away from Pranburi.
Meanwhile, the Nun left the temple with her remaining dogs and cats as she and the animals were no longer welcome. She started to build a shelter on a new property, in hopes that the dogs that were taken will be returned. Temporary enclosures have been built for the existing dogs and cats. Water and electricity have been installed. Things have gotten started, but it's not enough. There's still much more to do!
In order to get the dogs that were sent to Buriram back, the Nun's dog enclosure needs to meet certain requirements. The enclosure needs to be secure and dig-proof because the returning dogs will need to undergo 6 months quarantine after getting rabies shots and boosters, according to the procedures outlined by the Thai Government. This fundraiser aims to cover the cost of building the new dig-proof enclosure.
