One afternoon, around mid-January, Jacob Raphael Escober Moralde, or simply known as Jacob to everyone, and his older brother was playing at the chapel's cultural hall. As how boys are, they ran around, hopped, jumped and laughed a lot. Mom had to go to another room in the chapel to speak with other church leaders. Not five minutes went by when the older brother Joseph came running, crying.

"Mama, Jacob's bones! Mama, Jacob's bones!", was all he could say.

My sister went running to where she left Jacob at. He was sitting there holding his arm, too shocked to cry. His arm was bent in a wrong way from the elbow. My brother-in-law, though feeling pain on his right foot due to swollen joints, scooped him up and ran outside to the family's tricycle and sped off to the nearest hospital.

After speaking with the doctor, they were told to transfer Jacob over to the Regional Hospital in Tagum City, Davao Oriental so that they can have it operated.

My brother-in-law drives his own tricycle for their daily needs. He's a very responsible and industrious family man but whenever his arthritis strikes, he had to rest. My sister is a housewife and had to take care of Jacob closely. Jacob is the youngest of their two kids, both adorable, smart boys. Jacob though is a little bit on the hyper side. He's very witty and handsome, too. Everyone loves him wherever he goes.

As a young boy that he is, he likes physical activities, the kind that girls would never understand. And him breaking his elbow has kind of limited his daily activities.

He has been operated, thanks to the Angels who helped with the funds, and three stainless pins were placed on his elbow to correct the bone. It's currently in a cast and he has been obedient towards the doctors orders. He is very much excited for the stainless pins to be removed because he was promised that he can go back to playing normal games again. He did promise he'll be careful more.

The schedule for the pins to be removed will be by the last week of April or early May, supposedly, but with the lack of funds, we have requested that it be moved until we gather the funds needed, to Jacob's dismay. But he did say it's okay because that means that his bones will have more time to grow stronger and that means they will not break easily then.

We implore those who have a good heart and extra funds in their pockets to please extend your help to this nice family. We hope to pay it forward towards the next person once we can, and may Our Heavenly Father take care of you and your family. May he bless you ten folds. Any amount from Ph1.00 up will go a long way.

Payment Centers like Cebuana Lhuillier, Palawan Express, RD Pawnshop and MLhuillier are also available. Send me a message on my number 09152787707 above if you need further details.
